SportMod Nationals Saturday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway after a tight
battle with Keith White from Academy that put White out of the running.
Jacob Pirkle from Midlothian took an outside line to second place ahead of Robinson’s T.J. Green, who finished third. The Race of Champions was won by Cary Stephens from Bells. Tommy Davis Jr. from Wills Point won a new transmission from TCI, one of the race sponsors.
In other actions, Ralph Wren won the Brazos mini sprint feature and David Suggs from West earned the Texas wing modified feature win.
Next Friday will be a regular race program for IMCA modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA hobby stock, street stock, pure stock, cruiser, and junior mini stocks along with a return visit by the Texas wing modifieds.
