Speedbowl’s Double Down Moved Forward By David Dykes
WATERFORD CT. Sep 09, 2008 - Waterford Speedbowl, forced by the on-coming tropical storm Hanna to cancel Saturday’s night program, has moved the continuation of the Double Down Shootout presented by Mohegan Sun to Saturday, Sept. 13.
Two 25-lap SK-Modified features and the second features for the Late Models (25
laps), Sportsman (15) and Mini Stocks (15) are on the schedule. A Legends 25 lapper and an X Car 20 lapper will also be run. A visit from the American Three Quarter Midget Racing Association completes the bust agenda.
The $5,000 SK sweep bonus remains in affect. Should that happen, five lucky fans will get away with $1,000 apiece.
There’ll be a double-dose of points for the SKs. The other divisions will be earning points as well.
