Racing Cancelled at Orlando SpeedWorld September 5th By Jane Smith
Orlando, FL Sep 05, 2008 - Due to the water still at the track at Orlando SpeedWorld, racing has been cancelled for September 5.
"We are very sorry that we had to cancel," said General Manager Rusty
Marcus, "but the track is just too wet still. We were ready to race and have
worked hard this week to get the track in shape but it is just not safe yet."
Racing will return next Friday night, September 12, with the Semper Fi/Armed Forces Night featuring the Advance Auto Parts Pro-Trucks, RE/MAX Legends, Modifieds, Sportsman, Super Stocks, Strictly Stocks & Bandoleros. Pit gate will open at 2 pm with racing action at 8 pm.
The Saturday night show will return September 13 with the Legends, Bandoleros, DAARA, Classic Cars, Semi-Pro Trucks and Hurricanes. Pit gate will open at 3 pm with racing action at 7 pm.
